Get Paid up to $30/Hour to Play Poker!

Introducing one of the most rewarding promotions in the history of online poker!  On April 3rd, 2011, No Bad Beats Poker will be paying our players up to $30 per hour to play poker.  So, in addition to all the money you win on the tables, you’ll also get paid just for playing!

  • This promotion will start by running for 5 hours on Sunday, April 3rd at the following time:
  • BEGIN: 1:00PM US Eastern (7:00 PM CET)
  • END: 6:00PM US Eastern (12:00 AM CET)
  • Players can choose to play either of the following table limits:
  • $0.50 – $1 NL Hold’em
  • $0.05 – $0.10 NL Hold’em

(you must play on the NBB promotional tables created within the tab “No Bad Beats”)

  • Throughout the 5-hour promotion, the nickname & time of every player on the promotional tables will be recorded.
  • Players get paid for each full hour played during this promotional time, according to the following schedule:

That’s up to $30/hour on the $0.50 – $1 NL tables!  These payouts are in addition to all your winnings on the table and any deposit bonus you may earn!

Plus if all games break-up at your limit before 5-hours, then the Last Player Standing wins:

  1. Extra $50 (at $0.50 – $1 NL tables) plus hourly bonus earned.
  2. Extra $10 (at $0.05 – $0.10 NL tables) plus hourly bonus earned

Additional details:

  • To earn the maximum 5-hour payout, you’ll have to be seated & playing during the entire 5-hour promotion (1:00 – 6:00 PM US Eastern).  However, players can join at any time during this promotional period and still get paid for each full hour they play.
  • If you get stacked, you must quickly re-buy to continue earning your hourly payout.
  • Players are allowed to “sit out” for one 5 min break per hour.  DO NOT leave the table during the break or you may be disqualified.
  • If your table breaks up, you must immediately move to another promotional table that is running at your limit.  If all tables are full at your limit, then you must immediately join the Waiting List. Time spent on the Waiting List will count toward your accumulated hours.
  • The Last Player Standing prize is awarded to the final player remaining if all promotional tables break up at a given limit (not for single tables breaking up).
  • To be eligible for the Last Player Standing prize, you must be playing when the promotion begins (1:00PM US Eastern).
  • Multi-tabling is certainly allowed, but it won’t accelerate hours or increase hourly pay.  The only exception is if a player plays at both promotional stakes, then they’ll be eligible for both prize payouts.
  • Warning – If your internet connection drops you, you may only get paid up until you were dropped. You have to play to get paid!  However, if you can get back in a reasonable amount of time (5 mins) you won’t be penalized.  We are going to handle these (if any) on a case by case basis.
  • As long as you come to play poker and have fun, you should not be concerned here.  However, we reserve the right to boot players from tables or deny promotional payment to anyone we believe is trying to exploit this promotion.  Thus,
  1. Players must actually play legit poker while seated (i.e., make wagers).  Players who simply fold every hand for an hour in an effort to only earn the hourly promotional payment will be disqualified from this promotion.
  2. Players who are obviously delaying the game by taking too much time at every decision will be disqualified from this promotion.  Auto-post blinds is required as well.
  • Cash payments earned from this promotion will be transferred to players within 48 hours of the session ending.  If you receive a cash payment, please note that you must earn a minimum of 15 times the amount of the payment in PokerPoints before being able to withdraw it from the site.
  • This promotion is intended to be a fun, so please keep in mind that you can leave at any time and you’ll get paid for every full hour you’ve played, up to 5 hours.  Play for as long as you like!

There has never been a better time to start playing at No Bad Beats Poker!  You may send your questions/comments  to promotions@nobadbeatspoker.com.  Enjoy!

The Impact of Bad Beats on Poker

If you’re a poker player, then you have certainly endured the unfortunate experience of receiving a bad beat.  Bad Beats – when a superior hand is outdrawn by an inferior hand – are a frustrating, yet common part of online poker.  No player is immune to bad beats, and sometimes bad beats occur so frequently and severely that even the most talented and disciplined of poker players can get discouraged.  So, what impact do bad beats have on poker and the game’s popularity?

A very strong argument can be made that bad beats have been great for the game of poker.  Many attribute the online poker boom in the United States to amateur Chris Moneymaker winning the 2003 World Series of Poker main event after qualifying online for $40.  After watching the event on ESPN, there is no doubt Moneymaker would not have won the event without the help of several stomach-turning bad beats onto his opponents.  Moreover, in general, there is no denying that weak players give out more bad beats than talented poker players, on average, which means weaker players tend to benefit more from bad beats.  This reality is also good for poker, as bad beats can help new players win and gain interest in poker early on while still learning the game.  In these ways, there is no doubt bad beats have had a positive impact on poker’s popularity.

However, bad beats also have a substantial negative impact on poker.  Countless casual, yet skilled players give up the game of poker each day due to frustration from bad beats.  These casual players are the lifeblood of online poker, but unfortunately, many eventually lose interest in poker after receiving too many bad beats.  Even if they have what it takes for success, they just don’t have the time to dedicate toward grinding out tens of thousands of poker hands each year in order to overcome poker variance.  And they simply aren’t interested in things evening out over several months or years.  When these casual players play in a given poker tournament, they expect to win if they outplay opponents and lose if they don’t.  And why shouldn’t they?  They are playing poker – a competitive game of skill and strategy.  If they wanted to rely on short-term luck, they’d go play the slot machines.

Prior to the release of No Bad Beats Poker*, bad beats were simply an unavoidable part of poker.  Fortunately today, No Bad Beats Poker* provides a great alternative for any player who wants to avoid bad beats and bring justice to their poker game.  It is important to point out that this new feature was not designed to target new players just learning the game; those players may be better suited initially playing on our standard poker tables.  Instead, No Bad Beats Poker* should be viewed as a complement to standard poker, ideal for players that already understand poker.  The concept was designed for intense competitors and discouraged poker players who are tired of losing monster pots or getting knocked out of poker tournaments due to stomach-turning bad beats.  By providing a needed alternative to bad beats in standard poker, No Bad Beats Poker* has tremendous potential to positively impact the game of poker and its popularity.

The Great Game of Poker Just Got Even Better!

For literally millions of people world-wide, poker is an exciting pastime where players can unwind, have fun, and enjoy spirited competition.  No other game offers better intellectual stimulation, learning opportunities, and social camaraderie amongst players of all age groups, gender, and physical ability.  Patience, statistics, strategy, psychology, decision making, and discipline are only a few of the life skills learned by poker players.  But despite all of poker’s entertaining and beneficial qualities, there is one unpleasant aspect that too often leaves poker players frustrated and unsatisfied… Bad Beats!

For readers unfamiliar with poker lingo, a “bad beat” is what happens when you get your money in with a superior hand, and then some lucky opponent catches the miracle cards he needs to beat your hand.  A bad beat is the most frustrating experience in poker because not only do you not win money you deserve with your great hand, but instead you actually lose money!  Furthermore, the losing player usually had skillfully outplayed his opponent when he received the bad beat, which only adds to the frustration.  Because players consider poker a competitive game of skill and strategy, bad beats seems inappropriate and unfair to players.

Which is why we are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of No Bad Beats Poker (patent-pending) to the online poker community!  No Bad Beats Poker* is a revolutionary new feature in online poker that protects players from bad beats, suck outs, and bad luck.  When you play No Bad Beats Poker* you’ll get your money back if you take a bad beat!  It’s the perfect solution for poker players tired of losing monster pots or getting knocked out of poker tournaments from bad beats.  Never take a Bad Beat Again when you’re All-In!, only at www.nobadbeatspoker.com.
